Margaret Beryl Thomas, better known as "Megan", passed away on 15 January 2010, at the age of 88. She is buried in Ystradgynlais, Wales.

She died as she had lived: malignant and alone.

Stories of her selfishness, cruelty and manipulation are legion. Her approach to humanity was simple: browbeating, bribery or blackmail. She lived to enslave others: those who did not submit were erased from her record. After gazing on her own reflection, she preferred dogs to men.

Megan Thomas left an estate of almost £1 million to Brooke Hospital for Animals; her surviving sister, who travelled thousands of kilometres every year to visit, despite her own illness and infirmity, was disinherited. Her dead cat was left £20,000; cousins, who kept her company and comforted her as she lay dying, were excluded. She bequeathed £10,000 to the local animal charity; the Church, which she professed to love, was ignored

Megan Thomas lived as she had died: embittered and intransigent. May God, in His infinite wisdom, show her the mercy she so singularly failed to show others.
